Why Netflix Is the Global Leading Internet Television

By | September 19, 2013

At the moment, Netflix is the leading internet television network with more than 36 million account members in over 40 countries. From its beginning in 1999, the American provider of streaming media revolutionised the way we watch TV by introducing the possibility to watch your favourite movies and shows anytime, anywhere, with a simple broadband connection and a low-cost monthly payment. Moreover, if you dislike having commercials to interrupt your favourite movie, members are guaranteed commercial free streaming. Also, on this platform you can play, pause or resume watching at any moment, so you never have to miss a minute of your favourite show.

Netflix is available since 1999 but only in certain countries regions as North and South America, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, Ireland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands (but not New Zealand). In only ten years of existence, the network succeeded in gathering more than 10 million subscribers while offering a generous and impressive collection of more than 100,000 titles on DVD. More recently, in the spring of 2013, the company reported a number of 36 million total streaming customers including the US and other countries.

How It Works
For those who want to be part of the Netflix family and cannot even stand the thought of losing an episode from their favourite TV show, the provider offers the possibility to buy a subscription. If you want to become a consumer, you simply have to sign up on the company’s website. The streaming is available on most personal computers with Windows or Mac OS and on TVs as well. All you have to do is to connect your computer to your TV using a HDMI cable. Then, you simply select a movie on your computer and watch it without hassle on your TV.

Don’t Forget about the Free Trial Offer
The company implemented an interesting business approach, offering people the chance to use their service for free for 2 weeks. The logic behind it is pretty simple: customers who enjoyed it will want to continue by actually buying a subscription and at the same time, those who do not wish to continue using it can simply cancel their account after the trial period ends.

If You Liked It, Rate It
An interesting social feature offered by Netflix is the rating option. That means members can rate or vote for the movies and TV shows they have already watched. These ratings are later compared with other members’ votes and therefore the American online media provider can use them to make predictions over the popularity of movies and TV shows.

netflix new zealandSubscribers are entitled to access the massive library whenever they want, find and watch the movies they long craved for. In order to ensure they permanently stay up-to-date with the latest releases, the company established exclusive pay -TV deals with the biggest movie studious.

The numerous advantages that include the generous library, the free trial, the low fees, and, most of all, accessibility make Netflix an unbeatable global leading Internet television provider.

    Hi,
I have got an American IPA via Overplay VPN and a virtual American Debit Card and my payment still gets rejected by Neflix. I have tried all my credit cards with the same outcome. I have also tried several ZIp codes including my NZ one with a zero added all to no avail. Have even tried with PayPal.The Netflix website continues to say they cannot process my application at this time. Any ideas??
